Education is the key to securing a lifetime of healthy teeth and we teach our younger patients the best way to clean and care for their teeth so that they learn the correct techniques from an early age. Our focus also includes re-training parents to enable them to support their children’s dental education and lead by example.
Children are born free from dental disease, yet by adulthood 80% of the population have active gum disease and most people have experienced some tooth decay and even tooth loss. It is our belief that dental disease can be prevented. Our aim is to provide your child with the best dental care available to secure their dental well being and we ask parents to introduce their children to visiting us twice a year from 18 months old.
We encourage new patients and their families to pop in before they join us for a guided tour and an informal chat because we feel it important for new patients to get a feel for a new dental practice.
It is vital to your oral health and general well being that you visit the dentist regularly. At your first appointment, which lasts around 30 minutes, we will carry out a thorough 13-point examination of your mouth, teeth and gums. We will examine your tongue, cheeks, glands and bite, and take x-rays, if necessary.
This unhurried appointment gives us the opportunity to get to know you and for you to ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have about your teeth or smile. Following this you will be given a full treatment plan.
When you register as a private patient please check the availability of including your children on the NHS. As an extra commitment to families, we endeavour to treat children on the NHS.
